Jammu: The BSF today lodged a strong protest
with their Pakistani counterparts over the latest incidents of
infiltration on the International Border in Akhnoor sector
warning them of counter action if the incursions continued.
"A flag meeting was held with Pakistan Rangers in Tent
Border Out Post (BOP) in forward belt along the IB today in
connection with yesterday's three infiltration bids. We
registered a strong protest with them", a senior BSF official
told PTI.
In a tough posture over continued infiltration bids from
across the International Border (IB), BSF warned of counter
action if such incidents continued.
"We have told them there would always be a counter-action
and counter-firing, if such incidents recur in future", he
said.
There have been eight infiltration bids and two ceasefire
violations in the past ten days.
