Buddha ‘finds’ Trinamool language in PC’s letter

CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee questioned how Home Minister P Chidambaram used "Trinamool Congress` language" in his missive but remained silent on the party`s link with the Maoists.

Howrah (WB): Adopting a more aggressive posture on the letter controversy, Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on Sunday questioned how Home Minister P Chidambaram used "Trinamool Congress` language" in his missive but remained silent on the party`s link with the Maoists.

"Suddenly, Chidambaramji has written me a letter. I was surprised to see the language (in his letter). He has used the used the word `harmad` (hired killers) which TC uses while referring to CPI-M workers.

"Chidambaramji is an educated person. But he has used the uncivilized language of Trinamool Congress while writing the letter," Bhattacharjee told a public meeting at Dhulagarh.

He lashed out at opposition Trinamool saying wherever there is unrest and violence in the state, it supports the perpetrators.

"When there is trouble in the Hills (Darjeeling) Trinamool supports those behind it. It has literally brought the Maoists into the state," he said.

In an obvious reference to the tough challenge posed by Mamata Banerjee`s party in the upcoming Assembly polls, Bhattacharjee said "Some people had voted for them as they were angry with us. Some bad elements have entered our party.
Such elements should not be in the party. We have to go to the people with humility."

"There is no alternative to the Left Front. Only the Left will protect the interests of the poor. Only ads by Railways don`t create jobs," he said in a dig at Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee.

Alleging that attempts were being made to create chaos and trouble in the state, he said "We want peace. We want jobs, education, agriculture, industries. We know how much we have done. We also know what are the things left to be done.

We want to move forward taking everybody with us."

Reiterating the need for industries in the state, he said while the progress in agriculture has been satisfactory, factories would provide employment for the large number of educated youths.
"But TC is opposing the setting up of industries by raking up land issues," the chief minister claimed.
