New Delhi: Aiming to bring greater accuracy
and international standards to the Common Admission Test
(CAT), the agency organising the examination has planned to
introduce different sets of question papers from this year.

"Each question paper will be a little different from the
other, but its evaluation would be done on the same scale,"
Managing Director of Prometric, Soumitra Roy said.

"Since each question paper will be different, it might be
possible that some questions are tougher than others. We`ll
keep this mind while conducting evaluation," Roy said.

He said the agency has made special arrangements to
maintain accuracy and impartiality while testing students in
the CAT 2010 examination.

The CAT examination will be held between October 27 and
November 24 in 33 cities in the country. The duration of the
exam will be 2 1/2 hours. The results will be declared on
January 12, 2011.

Last year, the CAT exam was held online and had reported
several technical problems, raising doubts about the new
method.
