Jhargram: CBI on Monday filed charge
sheet against 20 people, all CPI-M leaders, in the January 7
Netai massacre case.
The charge sheet, filed before Jhargram sub-divisional
court, named 20 people responsible for the incident in which
nine persons, including four women, were killed.
Over thirty others were also injured in the massacre,
which took place this year at Netai village in West Midnapore
district.
Of the total accused, twelve were arrested while eight
are presently absconding. Among the absconding are CPI-M
strongman Anuj Pandey, his brother Dalim Pandey and Rathin
Dandapat.
All the accused were booked under several sections of
the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 302 (murder).
