New Delhi: The CBI has registered at least 63 regular cases to probe alleged irregularities in allocation of 2G spectrum and Commonwealth Games-related projects among other scams in the last three years.
Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions V Narayanasamy Wednesday said three regular case and a preliminary inquiry have been registered by the CBI to probe alleged irregularities in 2G spectrum allocation, 19 regular cases and 10 preliminary inquiries in CWG-related irregularities and 20 FIRs and 10 PEs to look into irregularities in implementation of National Rural Health Mission.
Besides, the Minister said, nine regular cases and three PEs were registered to investigate coal block-related irregularities, 12 regular cases in iron ore scam and one case each related to Tatra truck and Adarsh Society case between 2009-12.
As per information provided by the CBI, it has registered 109 cases (81 regular cases and 28 PEs) against officials of the rank of Joint Secretary and above during the last 3 years.
