New Delhi: The CBI on Thursday swooped on some
offices of the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Indian
Medical Association (IMA) in connection with a corruption
case.
"A case has been registered under Prevention of
Corruption Act related to MCI. Searches at some places are
being conducted in this regard," CBI spokesperson Harsh Bhal
said.
Efforts to reach MCI President Ketan Desai did not
fructify as he did not respond to calls.
The CBI spokesperson, however, declined to give any
further details about the case which has been registered
against MCI officials and others.
