BJP on Friday accused CBI of toeing the government`s line in the 2G scam investigations and trying to protect the corrupt.
New Delhi: BJP on Friday accused CBI of toeing
the government`s line in the 2G scam investigations and trying
to protect the corrupt.
"The government has been drawing a line to limit the CBI
probe. CBI feels it is important to question former ministers
Jaswant Singh and Arun Shourie but gives out a statement there
was no need to question P Chidambaram," party spokesman J P
Nadda told reporters.
He alleged that CBI has become "Congress Bureau of

Nadda demanded Chidambaram`s resignation to facilitate a
fair probe and that the real culprits be brought to book.
He accused Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress
President Sonia Gandhi of protecting the corrupt.
Nadda said that with the release of its whistleblower MPs
and Sudheendra Kulkarni in the cash-for-vote scam, the BJP
stand on the issue has been upheld.
