The central government would soon grant reservation to backward Muslims as promised in the 2009 election manifesto, Digvijay Singh said.

Lucknow: The central government would soon grant reservation to backward Muslims as promised in the 2009 election manifesto, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh said here on Saturday.
He promised to implement it in Uttar Pradesh once
Congress comes to power after the 2012 assembly elections.

Singh claimed Muslims were not getting the expected
benefit under the backwards quota and so on the basis of 2013
caste based census, their separate quota would be fixed.
