Raghogarh: Congress General Secretary
Digvijay Singh said here today that the Chhattisgarh
government should be blamed fully for the Naxalite violence
in that state.
Talking to reporters, the Congress general secretary
said that had the Chhattisgarh government taken strict action
against Naxalites as has been done by Congress governments in
Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, the situation there would not
have been like that.
Singh said that because of Naxalite activities in
Chhattisgarh, it appeared that the Madhya Pradesh government
had some understanding with Naxalites.
"May be it was because of this understanding that the
Madhya Pradesh government was not initiating action against
Naxalites in some areas," he said.
