Chouhan takes on Ajay on latter`s home turf

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has hit out at the leader of opposition in the state Assembly, Ajay Singh, calling him "arrogant" and someone who was not interested in the development of his own constituency.

Churhat (MP): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has hit out at the leader of opposition in the state Assembly, Ajay Singh, calling him "arrogant" and someone who was not interested in the development of his own constituency.

"I am saying this as Ajay has never come to me in connection with any development work in his constituency," the Chief Minister said at a public meeting here as a part of his `Jan Aashirwad Yatra` last evening.

Churhat, Ajay`s constituency, has been a Congress stronghold for long.

Referring to Ajay`s oft-repeated allegation that Chouhan had once vowed not to marry, but later broke the vow, the Chief Minister said, "I want to know if Ajay was personally present at the place where I took the so-called vow.

"Congress leaders are suffering from Chouhan-phobia, so much so that they see me even in their dreams," he said.

He claimed that when Congress was in power, farmers got electricity only three hours a day, while now it was available round-the-clock.
