CISF cover withdrawn from PSUs due to non-payment of fees

New Delhi: CISF has withdrawn its security cover provided to two Public Sector Undertakings over non-payment of fees.

A top CISF official today said the the force's security cover has been withdrawn for HMT, Srinagar and Hindustan Antibiotics Limited (HAL), Pimpri in Pune Maharashtra.

"We have withdrawn security cover provided to HMT, Srinagar and HAL over non-payment of dues," CISF Director General N R Das here said.

He, however, refused to divulge the exact amount which the two firms needed to pay the force.

The CISF earns about Rs 2,600 crore per annum by providing security to over 290 firms including nuclear plants and 57 airports in the country on a cost-reimbursement basis.
