Coast Guard to decommission two IPVs by month-end

The Indian Coast Guard will decommission two of its In-shore Patrol Vessels (IPVs) ICGS Rani Jindan and ICGS Kittur Chennamma, a senior coast guard officer said Monday.

Chennai: The Indian Coast Guard will
decommission two of its In-shore Patrol Vessels (IPVs) ICGS
Rani Jindan and ICGS Kittur Chennamma, a senior coast guard
officer said Monday.

"ICGS Rani Jindan and ICGS Kittur Chennamma will be
decommissioned by the end of this month," Inspector General SP
Sharma, Commander, Coast Guard Region (East) said on the
sidelines of a function here.

These two vessels had celebrated their silver jubilee in
2008.
