Commonwealth Games: PM Modi wishes Indian athletes, says they will do nation proud

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday wished all Indian athletes for the Commonwealth Games and said that he was sure they would do the nation proud.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday wished all Indian athletes for the Commonwealth Games and said that he was sure they would do the nation proud.

He also said that events like CWG brought a spirit of unity and brotherhood among nations.

Following is the statement of the PM -

Apart from providing a wonderful opportunity for sportspersons to shine, events like CWG bring a spirit of unity and brotherhood among nations. We will certainly witness a celebration of both sports and sportsmanship in the coming days during the Commonwealth Games 2014.

Modi also posted a series of tweets on the micro-blogging site Twitter regarding the CWG games -

The Commonwealth Games are starting from tomorrow in Glasgow.
