Cong cannot go scot free in scam: Sushma

Congress cannot go scot free in the Rs 4,000 crore money laundering scam, senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj said here on Sunday.

Jamshedpur: Congress cannot go scot free in
the Rs 4,000 crore money laundering scam, senior BJP leader
Sushma Swaraj said here on Sunday and hoped that Madhu Koda and
former Jharkhand minister Kamalesh Singh will tell all in the
next few days during investigations.

Lambasting the Congress for its "thirst" for power,
Swaraj, who was here to campaign for the ongoing Jharkhand
assembly polls, said it backed Koda, an independent MLA as
Chief Minister after dislodging the erstwhile NDA government
and then replaced him by JMM chief Shibu Soren.

Soren, who had only 17 MLAs, was "gifted" the chief
ministership of Jharkhand for saving the UPA government over
the Indo-US civil nuclear deal, she said.

"Congress had made Jharkhand a laboratory for political
experiments ever since BJP emerged as the largest single party
following the last assembly election in 2005," she said.

Blaming the Congress and the state Governor for carrying
out the "immoral" experiment of inviting JMM to form the
government after the 2005 polls, ignoring the NDA`s (BJP-30
and JD(U) 6) claim.

She expressed confidence over NDA`s showing in Jharkhand
polls, saying "There is no question of ifs and buts ... The
BJP-JD(U) combine will form the next government with clear
majority".

BJP leader Chandan Mitra took a dig at Congress party’s
slogan `Congress ka Haath, Aam Aadmi ke Saath` and said the
five fingers of the hand (Cong symbol) meant price rise,
corruption, betrayal, insecurity and instability.
