Rain may play spoilsport in 1st India-Australia T20 match

Sydney: The first T20 international between Australia and India at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday is under threat by unseasonal rain. Sydney was treated by heavy downpour early this morning, which weather experts believe would stop as the day wears on, the Daily Telegraph reported. "Go away rain," tweeted Brett Lee, who is set to open the attack for Australia in Wednesday’s match. As per the ticket sales, a record crowd is expected for the match that is set to break an 80-year old record of 58,466 people flocking to watch the Australia-England December Test match in Sydney. After the drubbing by the hosts in the Test series, Mahendra Singh Dhoni would be hoping for lady luck to smile on him in the first of the two T20 matches on Wednesday ahead of the tri-series, featuring hosts Australia and Sri Lanka. The Australia T20 squad is led by debutante George Bailey. This would be the first time the venue will be hosting an international contest since 2003.
