‘Cong targets those who raise voice against graft’

BJP accused the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre of harassing all those who raise their voice against the graft.

Lucknow: BJP on Saturday accused the Congress-led
UPA government at the Centre of harassing all those who raise
their voice against the graft.

"If Arvind Kejriwal (a member of Team Anna) is such a
person that notices have to be issued to him, then why five
ministers of the UPA government held discussion with him for
months," BJP general secretary Ravi Shanker Prasad told
reporters here.

"One thing is clear from this that the Congress harasses
all those who raise their voice against corruption," he said.

The BJP leader was here to inaugurate a media workshop
for party`s district, region and state spokespersons.
He said the massive nation-wide support to Anna Hazare`s
campaign should be viewed above political gains and losses.

"Support to Anna Hazare`s campaign was an expression of
the anguish of the people against the corruption of the UPA
government, but the Congress took no lesson from it," the BJP
chief spokesman said.
Referring to the JP movement of mid-`70s and the campaign
led by V P Singh on the Bofors issue, he said the Congress had
not taken any lesson from the history.

On the issue of corruption, Prasad said Congress, BSP and
SP were "three angles of the malice".

He said "it is a point to ponder as to why every time UP
Chief Minister Mayawati sides with the UPA government on the
corruption issue."

On the upcoming UP assembly polls, he said there would
be no alliance with either the BSP or the SP and his party
would fight the elections on its own.
