Congress taunts Narendra Modi

Congress on Monday taunted Narendra Modi over the internal dissension in BJP and the poster war between him and his detractor Sanjay Joshi.

New Delhi: Congress on Monday taunted Narendra Modi over the internal dissension in BJP and the poster war between him and his detractor Sanjay Joshi, a day after the Gujarat Chief Minister launched a sharp attack on UPA government over corruption.

"The Gujarat Chief Minister should first sort the matter with Keshubhai Patel (senior BJP leader leading anti- Modi camp) and Sanjay Joshi. After then, he is free to fight Congress," party spokesperson Manish Tewari said.

The Congress spokesperson alleged Modi was levelling "baseless" allegations against UPA to "divert" attention from "internal dissenssion in BJP.

Targeting Modi over the ouster of Sanjay Joshi from BJP, state PCC chief Arjun Modhwadia alleged the chief minister was "afraid" of his arch rival and that was the reason he put immense pressure on BJP leadership and got him removed.

The reactions came after the bitter poster war between Modi and his detractor Joshi intensified yesterday with pamphlets and posters targeting the Gujarat Chief Minister and referring to the "massacre for political power" appearing near BJP`s state executive meet venue in Rajkot.

Modi had in Rajkot yesterday attacked the UPA government saying the "Congress ship is sinking".
