Congress to get majority in Bihar: Sharma

BPCC chief Anil Sharma on Sunday claimed that the Congress Party would form the next government in the state irrespective of the canard about infighting within the party being spread by its opponents.

Patna: Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC)
chief Anil Sharma on Sunday claimed that the Congress Party would
form the next government in the state irrespective of the
canard about infighting within the party being spread by its
opponents and particularly the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

``We will not align with any party -- particularly the RJD
-LJP combine and will contest the coming assembly elections
on our own strength and form the next government with the
support of people by getting two third majority``, Sharma
claimed.

He denied reports published in a section of the media that
the second phase of ‘parivartan yatra’ could not be launched
on March 17 due to infighting in the state unit of the
Congress and stated that the yatra would commence on April
One in which senior party leaders like Jagdish Tytler, Girish
Sanghvi and others would participate.

The BPCC has constituted special task force to take stock
of the grievances of the Scheduled Castes and the minorities
that had not been fulfilled by the present dispensation though
Nitish Kumar has claimed himself to be the messaih of these
sections of society, Sharma said.

Asking the people to vote for the Congress in the coming
assembly elections, Sharma said the party would launch a
movement from Jiradei in Siwan district, the birth place of
first president of the Country Rajendra Prasad to educate the
people about the failures of the present government on
different fronts.
