Copies of Guru Granth Sahib damaged in fire

At least 17 copies of holy Guru Granth Sahib were burnt Tuesday after a fire broke out in Gurdwara Baba Hamir Singh at Janer village, about 10 kms from here, following a short circuit, police said.

here, following a short circuit, police said.

The fire broke out in the wee hours this morning in
the room where the `birs` of holy Guru Granth Sahib were kept
and also in the main hall of the Gurdwara, they said.

Locals rushed to the Gurdwara and brought the fire
under control, officials said.
