Betul (MP): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister
Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that government officials
indulging in corrupt practises won`t be spared.

"Officers indulging in corrupt practises and wrongdoings
wont to be spared and will be dealt with strictly," Chouhan
told reporters here after he was asked to comment on the
recent raids at the house of IAS couple Arvind and Tinoo Joshi
in Bhopal.

He said that half a dozen IAS officers have been
suspended for the first time in connection with different
cases in Madhya Pradesh and added that this exercise will
continue.

To a query, he said that there was no dearth of honest
officers serving in the state, adding that all the bureaucrats
were not bad.

Asked whether there was no check on bureaucracy in
Madhya Pradesh, the Chief Minister said that it was not wise
to say so in the wake of one or two cases.

There were huge number of upright bureaucrats in the
state who are working honestly, Chouhan added.
