New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday allowed the plea of alleged gangster Munna Bajrangi to keep him at the Tihar Jail as he was required to be produced here on March 10 and 14 respectively.

Bajrangi, who is now lodged at Aligarh Jail, has moved the application before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vinod Yadav, saying he should be kept at the high-security jail as he is to be produced in Delhi courts.

"Bajrangi should be detained by the superintendent concerned, Tihar jail, and to be produced on the next date of hearing before this court," CMM Yadav said.

Bajrangi also moved an application before the court saying he might be killed or encountered during transfer or travelling from Aligarh jail at Uttar Pradesh to Delhi.

"He (Bajrangi) is having enmity with inmates and threats to kill him has also been extended by the inmates and outsiders to kill him in UP jails," Bajrangi said in his application filed through his counsel.

Prem Prakash Singh, alias Bajrangi, is facing charges under the under MCOCA along with Uttar Pradesh's Independent MLA Mukhtar Ansari and others.

Bajrangi, also accused of murdering UP BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai in 2005, was arrested by a joint team of Delhi Police and Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force on October 29 from Mumbai.
