Court angry as Kasab laughs at evidence

Mumbai, May 11: A key witness on Monday in a special court identified two AK-47 rifles allegedly used by Pakistani gunman Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab and his accomplice Abu Ismael to kill people in Mumbai on November 26.

When the weapons were being identified, accused Kasab was laughing at the witness and shaking his head indicating that the weapons did not belong to him.

This invited the wrath of Judge M L Tahaliyani who warned Kasab to behave properly in the court. The judge told him that all the time he was seen laughing. "Keep away this casual attitude and show some seriousness," the judge said.

The witness, police sub-inspector Bhaskar Kadam, who had participated in an encounter with the two suspected terrorists, said, "These two weapons were used by Kasab and Ismael (Kasab was held, while Ismael was killed)."

He told the judge that one Ak-47 rifle was carried by Kasab while the other one by Ismael. The rifle with Ismael belonged to Additional Commissioner of Police Ashok Kamathe, who was killed by the duo in another gunfight on the same day near Cama hospital.

Kadam also informed that along with the AK-47 rifles, two pistols of 9mm were also seized from the accused. One of them was a Pakistani make and name of the company mentioned was "Diamond Nadi Frontier Arms Company, Peshawar".

This indicates that weapons had been brought from Pakistan, Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said.

It is foolish to run a case against a criminal who was seen openly firing on 26/11 by n nos. of public and also shown in number of fooage on TV not only that he was photod by someone at VT station while he was firing like made & killing people. There are plenty of proof of he being Pakistani and found on Indian soil for what purpose he came here? Whole world know this and specially America is already giving warning that such indirect war will be repeated. How many cases like this will our Indian court will fight. We will get tired but not the terrorist!! Mind welll we are the laughing stock bfore the world. Do not hang him but see that he is being stoned by the people day & night for 1 hour a day.

Kasab Basically doesn`t seem to be saving himself in the court of law. He probably want to die. Now! back home no Indian want him to live even a day. I am sure the lawyer defending kasab himself want kasab to die. But, There is a sense of professionalism in him. We must not ultimately forget that we are living in a civilised world. We have a set of rules for ourselves, where as the terrorists such as Kasab doesn`t have. Let the court of law take its action. Kasab might have killed hundreds of people in our country but I am sure he is dyeing every day in Jail.

they shouldve declared him dead right after he was caught. then they should have moved him to a secret location and tortured him to get any information he might have and then killed in the worst way possible. trials and courts are for human beings and he has clearly shown that he isn`t human. i know some people might say that we need to be civilized and act appropriately but that is not the way to respond to these animals. he`s an animal and he should be treated like one.

We deserve to be ridiculed. Kasab, now, has the chutzpah to laugh at 1.2 billion Indians. We are a country of people who refuse to vote for a change even after 5 years of horrendous governance, 5 years of outraging the modesty of India and Indians in every conceivable way. Still we refuse to stand up as one and vote for a change. We still refuse to cast to the dungeons those who directlly and indirectly support and perpetrate the actions of such terrorists. We refuse to take people who support such vermins to task. We refuse to destroy people who have worked to support such travesty of soverignity and civilised existence. The appalling apathy demonstrated by the Indian people in the ongoing national elections vindicates my stand. We are more concerned with our own microcosm or nanocosm, than our national well being. Then this is what WE DESERVE. To be laughed at by even the foot soldiers of j1had. This is the progress that MMS and C0ngress has given us.

kasab is a shamless creature, please stop all this drama of court, we ahould not hang him , he should be given the punishment in such a way that any person before thing of spreading terror should think 100 times, they should not kill him once they should kill him slowly and telecaste teh punshment on the TV so that his friends can see it , and understand that we will not keep quite, if they can kill we can also kill,
