Court moved for lodging of FIR against Sri Sri

A complaint was filed in a court here against spritual guru Sri Sri Ravishankar seeking its direction to the police to lodge an FIR against him.

Jaipur: A complaint was filed on Wednesday in a court here against spritual guru Sri Sri Ravishankar seeking its direction to the police to lodge an FIR against him for alleging that government schools are breeding grounds for Naxalism.
The complaint was filed by lawyer Surendra Dhaka in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Sanganer here under sections 153 (A) (promoting enmity among different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth and residence) 153-B (imputations or assertions prejudicial to national integration 499 and 500 (defamation) of IPC.
Sri Sri Ravishankar set off a controversy by claiming government schools are breeding grounds for Naxalism and his comments were condemned by educationists and ministers today as "unfortunate and illogical."

Union Human Resources Development Minister Kapil Sibal expressed surprise at the remarks and posed a question as to whether people in high positions in all walks of life who have studied in government schools are Naxals.
