Lucknow/Mumbai: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Monday condemned MNS legislators’ attack on party MLA Abu Azmi, during the oath taking ceremony inside the Maharashtra Assembly.

While defending Azmi’s move to take oath in Hindi, Mulayam said that the SP MLA was attacked by “cowards”.

He further congratulated Azmi for taking oath in Hindi, adding the party takes pride in it.

"I would like to congratulate Azmi for maintaining the honour of the national language by taking oath in Hindi," Yadav told reporters.

The SP supremo said that those, who fight for the ideology have to suffer a bit and added, "Entire nation will honour Azmi for taking oath in Hindi."

MNS legislator Ram Kadam meanwhile defended his party MLAs’ move to attack Azmi, saying “our (Marathi) culture must be honoured.

Kadam was the man who first attacked Azmi for taking oath in Hindi.

Unremorseful of his action, Kadam said that he was ready to face any action.

Debunking the claim that Azmi doesn’t know Marathi, he asked, “How much time does it take to learn four lines in Marathi?”

Azmi is dividing Hindi speaking Hindus: Togadia

VHP leader Praveen Togadia today while questioning the Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi's love for Hindi, accused him of dividing the Hindi speaking Hindus in Maharashtra and said he has no moral right to talk of Hindi.

"Azmi's family had opposed Hindi in Uttar Pradesh and advocated Urdu as state language," Togadia told reporters here saying he has no moral right to talk of Hindi.

All political leaders are capable to do whatever they want to elect at assembly or MP. Nothing is wrong at Indian politics. We know, the role of our some great leader like Amar Singh, Mulayam, Lalu , Paswan etc. If it needs cast they do that. So, why it is wrong for other, lets allow to do the same thing on their on area. At the end of a day, middle class and lower class family suffer from this nonsense. So, forget all this topics and keep concentrate your goal. It is India, no one can change India, except all corrupt politician. JOY HO..ALL Politician.

It`s not a question of Hindi and Marathi, it`s question of politics, every leader need a strong motive to gather people, that may be cast, religion, state, language... any thing, for raj thakre ``marathi` language is the tool, with this he is playing the political game, and there are fools (people) who think that they (MNS) are their well wishers, and voting for them. These MNS people don`t know there were people from all over country who gave their lives for our country Independence, they must be ashamed to see this kind of incidents...really it`s matter of shame. No one has any right to stop or compelled any one to use any particular language, We live in a independent country, and we should respect others individuality.

ideology behind the act was fantastic, but the way it is done is wrong. Aazmi should be ashamed of himself that he cant even learn four lines of language of the place to which he is representing. How he is going to solve local problems, i dont know?

Just few weeks back there was a report in all the national newspapers that China is secretly planning to split India into 18-20 different parts. If these are the things going on in India the time is not very far when China will actually divide India into several pieces – with the help of MNS and similar types of goons. Central Government should not be a mute spectator in these types of incidents again and again – they should immediately take stern action before the things are too late.
