Kochi: Union minister for Overseas Indian
Affairs Vayalar Ravi today alleged that CPI(M) led government
in Kerala was trying to politicise the price rise issue.
Speaking to mediapersons here Ravi alleged the CPI(M) had
organised dharna against price rise to create an impression
that the state government was not responsible for the price
rise and put the blame on the Union government.
He emphasised the need for the cooperation from the
state government to control the price rise. It is the state
government, which has to take action against black marketeers,
he said.
Pointing out that Finance Commission was a constitutional
organisation, he said, it was natural that there will be
differences of opinion on the reports of the commission.
Ravi said that the state government was implementing only
Centre's projects in the state.
The state government could not do anything on the
SmartCity IT project, promising 90,000 employment
opportunities, inspite entering into an agreement with Tecom,
Dubai, a couple of years ago, he said.
The stand of the Youth congress that they should get
positions in the organisation was welcome, he said.
