Gwalior: The ongoing training programme at
the CRPF Training Centre here was on Tuesday cancelled following
the death of three personnel due to sun stroke.
It has been decided to cancel the training programme
after the tragic death of three CRPF personnel yesterday and
several others falling sick due to severe heat in the region,
official sources said.
Arrangments have been made including attaching separate
bogies in trains to enable 400-odd CRPF personnels to reach
their respective destinations, they said.
Meanwhile, CRPF has formed a three-member committee
headed by Additional Director General Rakesh Jarhar to probe
The other members are Medical Service Director A K Dhawan
and Deputy Inspector General Qazmi, the officials said.
The committee members today visited the training centre
situated at Nayagaon and met the jawans to enquire about the
conditions prevailing in the centre.
