Dalit should have been in Lokpal panel: Paswan

Nagpur: Lok Janshakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan on Tuesday said a dalit should have been in the committee constituted to draft the Lokpal Bill.

"One dalit activist or leader could have been accommodated in the five-member representation from the civil society in the committee constituted for Lokpal Bill when social activist Anna Hazare launched an agitation in New Delhi," he told reporters here.

In a veiled attack on yoga guru Baba Ramdev, he said some undesirable persons had shared the stage with Hazare.

Paswan said that noted social reformer Mahatma Jyotirao Phule should be conferred with the Bharat Ratna award.

In a separate briefing, Republican Party of India president Ramdas Athawale too lamented that a dalit had not found a place panel to draft the Lokpal Bill.

Athawale said his party workers are against forging an alliance with both Congress and NCP during the elections for 10 municipal corporations in Maharashtra next year.

Paswan Pagal HO Gaya Hai. You shameless politicians should understand that this is not Recruitment Bord for jobs and also this Jan-Lokpal Bill is not for reservations. THIS Bill is for CORRUPT Politicians from any CASTE or RELIGION or State. You shameless politicians can not see anything beyond Caste/ vote/bribes etc.

Paswan if you wanted to come into the Drafting Committee, Why were u sleeping so long and did not go for HUNGER STRIKE TILL DEATH as Anna Hazare did. This bill is going to trap Paswan like people and one can observe the uneasiness among the politicians.

we r shocked & surprised by Mr.paswans comments . instead of acting as an indian he has stooped low to caste levels .his comments justifies him. He is not a politician of vision ,or of national stature or of confidence .
He is insecure ,frightened who hides behind the mask of his caste but wants to call himself a national leader

First thing Mr. Hazre should do, is to make a law that the reservation / quota should end at one point.

Upon getting a govt job under quota, the whole family should be out of the reservation system. Once job given, educate your children and let them live normally.
Also there should be no preference/ out of turn promotions. Once job given, thats it - prove yourself.

Nowdays, people misusing the law. A clerk is not willing to work, and if a senior officer tells him something, he accuses him with a dalit card.

Under the regular quota system, Doctors son/daughter gets seat in medical or engineering, and it goes on, and the deserving students are left behind.

Are Paswan Bhaiya...election harne ke bad koi kamwa nahi mil raha kya...Better for you and Laloo to play ludo or snake & ladder...and see if dalit snake is given reservation in the game. Lokpal bill....this is not bill where you are peeping your eyes for money....it to crub corruption and keep people like you beind the bars for ever.

Samajhwa mein aya kyaaa..wait for some time and Janta will explain it in detail.

These politicians, just to vote sake, demand reservations / quota everywhere. But when they are admitted to hospitals, they donot want a quota doctor to treat/ operate them. they want the best of doctors - why ?

After this, there will be demand for a sikh, muslim, christian person in the panel. once that is done, then there will be demand to have equal number from each community & religion.

Mr. Hazare gave time limit of 15th aug to make the law, but view these demands, i doubt if Mr. Hazare is able to make a panel before 15th Aug.
