New Delhi: Dense fog affected the operations
of as many as 89 trains here on Thursday.
While the departure timings of 11 trains were
rescheduled, 51 trains were running late and 27 cancelled by
railways, railway officials said.
Most of the trains coming from Eastern India to the
capital were running late by several hours causing
inconvenience to passengers.
While Purvottar Sampark Kranti Express was running 14
hours late, Magadh Express and Orissa Kranti Express were
running behind the schedule by 12 and 11 hours respectively.
Rajdhani trains coming from Dibrugarh, Ranchi and
Sealdah among others were also running late, according to
a Northern Railway release.
