Deshmukh denies role in Adarsh Housing Society scam New Delhi: Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on Sunday said that he had not recommended any case for membership of the controversial Adarsh Housing Society and that allegations in this regard were a "conspiracy to defame" him.

"I had not recommended anybody's case. There is nobody in the society who can claim to be my relative or near and dear one...This appears to be a conspiracy to defame me," Deshmukh, a former Maharashtra Chief Minister, told a news agency.

Deshmukh said that he did approve the letter of intent (LoI) of 20 people who wanted to become members of the society. But he did so after a recommendation was allegedly made by Ashok Chavan, the then state Revenue Minister.

"The list had come for my approval only for counter signature and you do it in good faith," he said.

Deshmukh's statement comes in the wake of reports that three of his aides also own flats in the society.

Chief Minister Ashok Chavan is already in the eye of a storm after names of his relatives appeared among the beneficiaries.

A controversy has erupted over how Adarsh Co-operative Housing Society, originally meant to be a six-storey structure to house Kargil war heroes and widows, got converted into a 31-storey tower through collusion of bureaucrats, politicians and top defence officers.

This are the most Shameless Culprits, who cooked their bread on Sacrificed Jawan’s Cremations. Every illegal ones on this plot must be Court Martial. More shocking was to see some Shameless Congress Politicians on TV, justifying the loot from Kargil Shaheed Widows that Homeless Politicians and Officials has birth right to get the plot. CM Ashok Chavan`s lame argument about land as an Govt Propriety does not give right to Politicians and Officials to loot Govt or Public resources by paying fraction of price. Some of them by giving excuse about the unawareness of ownership of land and paying fraction of price, can`t they imagine that they are shopping at Grey Market. CBI inquiry is welcomed as Restaurant Menu. Disease of Corruption has spread from Congress to Army and other Officials. In past we use to see Politicians relationship with Land Mafia, today we see Politicians, Army Officials, Govt Officials becomes ” LAND MAFIAS ” Today, India has became the DEN of Corrupted Politicians, Officials and Citizens with Dead Soul. Rahul, Sonia, PM should ask their own CM and Politicians about any progress besides LOOTING India, rather than asking Nitish in Bihar. Surprisingly, we don`t find AICC spoke person Manish Tiwari to give his Sugar Coated Lies on Media. GOD BLESS INDIA.
