Development should reach the poor: PM

New Delhi: The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government will always try to ensure that economic development reaches the poorer and weaker sections of society, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said here on Tuesday.

"We want an economic development which is equitable," Manmohan Singh said at a meeting of the All India Congress Committee here.

The Congress-led UPA government had in the last six and a half years always looked after the welfare of the "aam aadmi (ordinary people)", he said.

He praised Congress president Sonia Gandhi for her "dynamic" leadership. "Sonia Gandhi has given a new direction to the Congress in the last 12 years," said Singh.

Development should reach poor people, how when your own minster`s are shamelessly eating away funds or scheme meant for poor man, recent example Maharashtra CM, earlier Koda,Kalmadi,Raja etc ....If goverment would have been serious then why tons and tons of food grain gets spoiled or is eaten away by rats but your collegue did not want to distribute free to poor people against work.why you and your top leaders are silent on curruption, black money entire nation wants the money back to India, but seems Government is not serious or did not want to do anything on this black money, may be because congress minsters themself are the biggest account holder in foreign banks.why india buys weapons from advance nation including US why technology cant be transfer and manufacture here in India, like delhi metro trains manufactured in baroda, why in most of the rather all of the cases government top officials beurocrats (IAS/IPS etc)are found currupt. I know PM sahab aap kuch nahi kar sakte.....in the name of politics and vote bank nation is going worst to waste.when you can hike the salaries of MP`s then why can`t pass a bill and fix the education qualification../ midterm assesment etc.. you may not be aware even a peoun for any government post are required to be 12th pass. lastly kahavat hae, Yatha Raja, tatha praza. (your top beurocrats/ministers are currupt thus makes every body currupt within their system means till peoun)and slowly spread to entire masses.
