Diesel hike: 52 lakh lorries to stay off roads on July 5

Namakkal: The All India Motor Transport Congress on Thursday said nearly 52 lakh lorries and heavy vehicles across the nation would stay off the roads on July 5 in protest against the recent increase in diesel prices.
AIMCT President TR Sanmugappa claimed the government would incur loss of Rs 2,000 crore per day on account of the strike.
