Patna: Congress today regretted the remark
of the Jama Masjid Imam Maulana Syed Ahmed Bukhari that it was
anti-minorities and said that it did not require Bukhari`s
certificate for its services for the Muslims.

"It is only Congress that has been working for the
betterment of the minority community to such an extent that
several Muslim leaders have attained top constitutional
posts," BPCC President Chaudhary Mehboob Ali Kaiser said here.
Even in Bihar, as many as ten Muslim leaders had
served as BPCC President and Urdu language was granted the
status of second language of the state by the Congress
government, he said.

Asking Bukhari to concentrate on religious activities,
the Congress leader asked why the former surfaced only at the
time of the polls.
