New Delhi: After Congress chief Sonia Gandhi made scathing remarks against the BJP on Tuesday morning, the main opposition party hit back saying it doesn’t need certificate of responsibility.

“We don`t need certificate of responsibility from the Congress; we need conduct of accountability from them,” a BJP spokesperson said.

BJP’s Ravishankar Prasad said: “The government only talks of debate inside Parliament but not of accountability.”

Speaking at the general body meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party this morning, the Congress president had hit out at the BJP saying the main opposition party was holding Parliament to ransom.

The BJP has scant respect for Parliament; it is mocking the people of India, Gandhi told the meeting.

“Holding Parliament to ransom and blackmail have become political bread and butter of BJP,” Gandhi said.
