Dr Sachan was murdered: Probe report in HC

The judicial inquiry has found that Dr Sachan had not committed suicide but was murdered.

Lucknow: In explosive revelation in the case of the mysterious death of deputy chief medical officer Dr Yogendra Singh Sachan, the judicial inquiry has found that he had not committed suicide but was murdered.

The details were part of the status report on the probe that was prepared by Chief Judicial Magistrate Rajesh Upadhyaya and submitted with the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court today.

According to TV news channels, the 76-page report has names of the persons who were behind the murder of Sachan inside the Lucknow jail premises.

Incidentally, the Uttar Pradesh Police today arrested former Lucknow Chief Medical Officer (CMO) AK Shukla, who is an accused in the murder case of former CMO Dr BP Singh.

Shukla was arrested in connection with a case of financial embezzlement in the UP Department of Health and Family Welfare, filed after the murder of Dr BP Singh.

Sachan was killed on June 22, a day before he was to depose in court against Dr Shukla.
