Due respect not shown to Netaji: Narayana Murthy

Kolkata: Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy on Sunday criticised the political leadership of the country for failing to show due respect to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and said it is "time this is corrected".

"We have not paid due respect to Netaji. It is time this is corrected," entrepreneur-cum-thinker Murthy said here voicing concern over the leadership lacunae.

Delivering the Netaji oration on the occasion of his birth anniversary at the Netaji Research Bureau, Murthy said, "I was shocked to learn that there is not single a major avenue named after Netaji in Delhi. Correct me, if I am wrong. I hope our wonderful Prime Minister will correct this lacunae."

Describing Netaji as the most courageous leader of his time, the iconic corporate leader said that his presence would have spearheaded India to become the second most powerful economy of the world ahead of China.

Had he been present at the post-Independent reconstruction era along with Nehru, Rajaji, Patel and Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, India's destiny would have been different, he observed.

"India would have also done a much better job in terms of people management as he foresaw the negative impact of a burgeoning population on a country's economy," Murthy said.

"Netaji had all the smartness to take India far from what it is now today," he said and observed sarcastically that "nowadays, we talk loud even about very mediocre achievements".

Meanwhile, West Bengal Governor MK Narayanan said that Netaji's birthday on January 23 should be observed as 'Desh Prem Divas'.

"I hope that from next year onwards, the day will be observed as Desh Prem Divas," he said.

Bankrupt Leadership of a Bankrupt Democracy who are not capable of Honouring those who laid down their lives for the sake of India`s freedom. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is more Honourable than the other leaders but the Congress leadership can see only one bankrupt family destroying the very nation which first created Bhindrawala then LTTE and got slaughtered at their very own hands and still they dare to say they sacrificed their lives? Did They?. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was a true fighter who Sacrificed his life for the cause of this Nation and no one can ever come close to him. Jai Hind !!

Good to see that corporate people like Infosys chief is coming in support of our beloved Netaji who actually fought without any personal gain unlike other filthy power hungry leaders having connection with Winston Churchill and Mountbatten and leading a British life style in India without doing much form freedom movement. Our politicians, that too from Bengal, also did nothing and actually defamed that great leader who showed the guts to stand against British Kingdom rather than praying freedom at their doorstep. It is unfortunate and surprising that he didn`t get support from Gandhiji and some corrupt leader got. Congress from the beginning tried to dump him and sabotage his efforts, and this tendency is continuing. We really don`t know how long filthy politics and cover ups will be played under the table to hide the real truth. When we can come to know the real story behind his life mystery? Shall we even come to know the real truth and will Netaji ever get justice in India till Congress is in power?

Atleast Narayana Murthy like Bussinessman should stop talking about history and the past. We are already having enough problems in our country because of the teaching of History in schools.
As per me the subject history should be stopped from teaching to the future children
