Emirates flight makes emergency landing in Mumbai

A Dubai bound Emirates flight had to abort its trip after Mumbai ATC declared a full emergency.

Mumbai: A Dubai bound Emirates flight with 202 passengers and crew onboard on Wednesday made an emergency landing here, after a full emergency was declared soon after takeoff.

Emirates flight EK507 took off from Mumbai at about 3.35 pm for Dubai, but within less than 30 minutes, the plane had to land as per the instructions of the Mumbai Air Traffic Control. All the passengers are known to have disembarked safely.
The detailed reason of the emergency landing is not yet known, however early reports suggest that one of the engines of the plane had developed a technical snag.
