Hyderabad: Refuting allegations of
corruption levelled against him by TDP leaders, Congress MP K
V P Ramachandra Rao, a close aide of late Y S Rajasekhara
Reddy, today hit out at TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in an
open letter.
The Rajya Sabha member's strongly-worded missive came
against the backdrop of the criticism against him by the TDP
leaders who alleged that he indulged in massive corruption and
acts of omission and commission.
Referring to the reported allegations made against his
son over fictitious business deals in Dubai, Rao said he is
ready to face any test on the issue.
"You (Naidu) have told your party leaders to make
strange allegations that my son was involved in a business
deal with a sheikh in Dubai who is out to get us arrested us
if we set foot in Dubai. We are going to Dubai and on February
11. You can ask that sheikh to initiate proceedings against
us. If I am proved guilty, then I am ready for arrest. I will
not seek bail," Rao said.
He also alleged that Naidu was ready to do anything
for political gains.
Rao, who conducted a spirited campaign to install Y S
Jagan Mohan Reddy as chief minister, alleged that Naidu wanted
to weaken him after YSR's death.
Responding to the open letter, senior TDP leader S
Chandramohan Reddy asked Rao to respond to the charges made
against him instead of training his guns on Naidu.
