Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee cancelled his trip to New Delhi for the internal security conference of Chief Ministers convened by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Monday due to ill-health.

The Chief Minister was down with fever for the last few days and was still very weak, said an official in his secretariat.

Despite his ill-health, Bhattacharjee had toured West Midnapore district last week.

On Sunday, he had skipped the memorial meeting for Subhas Chakraborty, the senior leader of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and minister, who died on August 3.
