New Delhi: Delhi University Students Union
today demanded initiation of criminal proceedings against Vice
Chancellor Deepak Pental for alleged gross neglience in the
radiation leak episode.
The DUSU held a protest against the university
administration accusing it of being responsible for the

consent. This is not a small issue but a major lapse," she

Wadhera also said proper guidelines should be framed for
handling and disposal of radioactive waste.
The Delhi University Teachers Association has also
demanded that the Vice Chancellor step down for a fair probe
to take place into the incident.
