'Gandhi family has black money in Swiss banks'

New Delhi: Veteran lawyer and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ram Jethmalani on Monday said that he believed that the Gandhi family has black money stashed in Swiss bank accounts.

"I believe that the Gandhi family has money stashed in Swiss banks," Jethmalani told reporters outside Parliament.

"Swiss magazines have written, even Kent books have written...Rahul Gandhi has been getting money from Swiss Bank. A whole advertisement appeared in the New York Times where this allegation was repeated," he said.

A task force appointed by the BJP on the black money issue recently alleged that Sonia Gandhi and her husband, former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, were among the Indians who held Swiss bank accounts abroad.

Senior party leader LK Advani later wrote to Sonia Gandhi and regretted the mention of their names in the booklet.

Jethmalani, however, said the letter was in no way an apology.

"He (Advani) did not apologise, only said that for so many years you (Sonia Gandhi) did not give a denial and now you have given one," he said.

dear mr.asif kazi. you have said that sr. lawyer can not fool any body in india. even after we know every thing which happens in india, we do nothing but blame others who disclose. typical example is sri anna hazare. congress party has termed him as an ``bagoda which means who ran away from military``. how non sense and arrongant ? see todays editorial regarding him. the commanding officer under whom under anna hazare had worked, had given a good remarks in 1965 itself. but the congress party which claims as more than 100 years old (every body knows that in 1977 only the present congress party formed, there have been no recards that the old congress had merged in the new congress -i) is lying about anna hazare. today, rahul gandhi is visiting the dalit`s house and making the head lines in the news papers. he forgot how his mother i.e. mrs sonia gandhi was made to seat in the throne of congress. sri sitaram kesari, who was dalit also, was thrown away to pave way for her. why he is shedding the crocodile tears. this is also in the case of muslims. the treatment of great men like janab faqrudin ali ahmed and dr. abdul kalam azad by congress party is known to all those know history.

During Indira Gandhi`s time , it has been said that they have an account in SWISS bank. And from 1947, the money from India has been started floating in Swiss Bank. So , there is 100% possibility of having account of Nehru-Gandhi family in Swiss bank.

senior lawyer like ram jetmalani should not comment irresposibly because no party can run a party money ,& to run a party u need to have corrupution ,may be any party BJP,congress,BSP,CPM,SHIV SENA,oterwise painter ,teacher,lawyer,coortonist,will no be able to be mass leader in today world,so pls sir try some other formula to fool people today media is strong,&everybody is aware of everything. according to me every polition as to be corrupt & if any body say he is clean he is lying to himself & god

There is law in our country to file a suit againg a person claiming damages if he or she makes any allegations against some one to tarnish other persons image. Mr. Jethmalani has said something very serious about Gandhi family. If they are clean, they must sue Mr. Jethmalani. If they do not do so then Aam Adami have every reason to believe that what Mr. Jethmalani is saying is true.
