Ahmedabad: The Adani group said here on Tuesday that it would take action against a fake Twitter account in the name of the group`s founder Gautam Adani, using his photograph, to target Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal.

"It has come to our notice that someone has created a fake Twitter account @gautammadani which uses the photograph of Gautam Adani," the statement released here today by Adani Enterprises Ltd`s Associate General Manager, Roy Paul said.
"This account has posted objectionable and inappropriate tweets. This is a serious matter and we are planning to initiate appropriate action against this impersonation," the statement said, clarifying that Gautam Adani`s official handle is "@gautam_adani".

A fake account created using the name of business tycoon Gautam Adani had criticised AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and made remarks about his Varanasi tour.

"Why are people throwing eggs on Kejriwal in Varanasi? He is not on any fast. Don`t waste food," one of the tweets by the fake Twitter account said.
"There are more people employed by me in Adani Group than what Kejriwalji is able to pull in Varanasi," the fake account also said.

"Kejriwalji keeps saying `Modi ki Hawa hai, Modi ki Hawa nahi hai`. Sir Modiji ki hawa hai, khaansi aapko ho rahi hai (There is a Modi wind, but Kejriwal is catching a cold)," the fake Twitter account said.
