Govt gets over Rs 4 cr as fee for CISF security to pvt units

Government has received over Rs four crore as a fee for providing Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel to secure private sector organisations.

New Delhi: Government has received over Rs
four crore as a fee for providing Central Industrial Security
Force (CISF) personnel to secure private sector organisations.
"So far, CISF has been deployed for the security of four
private sector installations on cost reimbursement basis,
which include pay and allowances, cost of clothing or arms and
ammunition, leave salary contribution, pension contribution,
raising and supervision charges," Minister of State for Home
Affairs Ajay Maken told Rajya Sabha today.

The government has received Rs 4.04 crore from these
companies, he said in a written reply.
The government decided to extend CISF cover to joint
venture and private sector units on cost reimbursement basis
in the aftermath of the 26/11 terror strikes. Besides,
Naxalites have been targeting private telecom installations
and oil refineries in some states.
