New Delhi: The government has invited applications for the post of director at four new Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) to be set up in the country.

The Human Resource Development Ministry, through a newspaper advertisement, has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of director at four new IIMs proposed to be set up in Raipur (Chattisgarh), Rohtak (Haryana), Ranchi (Jharkahand) and Tiruchirappalli (Tamil Nadu).

"Applications are invited from suitable candidates for appointment to the posts of director at the four new Indian Institutes of Management, in the pay scale of Rs 80,000 per month (fixed)," the advertisement said.

The appointment would be made on contract basis for a period of five years, it added.

The ministry stated that the applicant for the post should be a person of "eminent academic credentials in the field of management. He should also be an able administrator, a good manager with leadership qualities, and should be a visionary".

The government had last year decided to establish six new IIMs in various states during the 11th Five Year Plan.
