New Delhi: Reacting to a newspaper advertisement on Lokpal, given by the Parliamentary standing committee, prominent member of Team Anna Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday accused the government of wasting time on the Lokpal Bill issue.
“Asking for public opinion on the issue now is merely a wastage of time”, Kejriwal said talking to media persons.

He further prodded that, “The standing committee should send the bill back to the government rather than asking for public opinion.”
It should be noted that the Parliamentary standing committee has given an advertisement in the newspapers today in which they have asked for public opinion and suggestions on the format of the Lokpal Bill.

The advertisement has set the deadline of September 4 for giving opinions and suggestions. The current Parliamentary session is ending on September 8.
