New Delhi: Union minister E Ahamed, Supreme
Court judge Justice P Sathasivam were among a host of air
travellers who had to virtually run from pillar to post after
Air India aircraft landed here from Mumbai.

All the passengers of IC-168 alighted from the aircraft
at 8:00 am and boarded a bus to reach the arrival hall at
the state-of-the-art Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi
International Airport (IGIA).

However, it was only when they deboarded the bus and
walked into the hall they realised that they had reached the
international arrivals section of the terminal.

All the passengers were told by the airport staff to
return to their bus which would take them to the domestic
arrivals area.

By this time the passengers had already waited for quite
a while and were feeling harassed and had begun voicing their
disappointment but to no avail.

A passenger on the aircraft said that the plane had
touched down at 7:15 am and had taken about 45 minutes to
reach the allotted spot at the airport.

The back and forth journey finally came to an end at
about 10:00 am when the passengers were able to get out of
the airport, taking much more time than the actual
Mumbai-Delhi flying time.

When contacted, Delhi International Airport Limited
officials said they were trying to find out what has happened.
