New Delhi: Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh has termed activist turned politician Arvind Kejriwal’s expose on BJP Nitin Gadkari as nothing new and claimed that he has far more information against the BJP chief.

Digvijay said that Gadkari is more interested in doing business than politics and owes his current position – as BJP chief – due to his proximity to the BJP top brass.

"I have been saying from the very beginning that Nitin Gadkari is more a businessman than a politician. What Kejriwal has said is nothing new", the Congress General Secretary, who is a known detractor of the BJP chief, said.

On the allegations levelled against Gadkari by India Against Corruption, Digvijay said that he is disappointed and has more information on Gadkari’s dealings which he will submit before the court. Digvijay is facing a defamation case filed by Nitin Gadkari.

In an apparent dig at the activist, Singh said he would write a letter to Kejriwal to tell him that his intentions were not clear in exposing BJP. Congress has generally maintained that Kejriwal and his team were "B team" of BJP.

"I`m disappointed with the charges that Kejriwal has made because they were already in the public domain," he told NDTV.

Digvijay also touched upon Gadkari`s relationship with Ajay Sancheti. A businessman, Snacheti’s name has figured in the reports related to the coal block allocation scam and the Rs 70,000 Maharashtra irrigation scam.

Gadkari had filed a defamation suit against Digvijay for publicly alleging BJP president`s links with Sancheti. The case is being heard in a Delhi trial court.
