HC rejects plea to restrain Shashank to function as UP cab sec

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court today rejected a plea seeking a direction to restrain Shashank Shekhar Singh from discharging his duties as cabinet secretary of Uttar Pradesh.

cabinet secretary of Uttar Pradesh.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice of Allahabad
High Court Justice F.I. Rabello and Justice Srinayan Shukla
passed the order on the application filed in a pending PIL.

The petitioner, one S.N. Shukla, has challenged the
two-year extension in service of Singh granted by UP
government on May 30 last.
