Rajahmundry (AP): The Union Defence Minister for State M M Pallam Raju today said, human resources and better scientific development are playing a pivotal role for the development of the country.

"Our country is producing number of youngsters every year, but we require new sophisticated scientific knowledge to achieve good results," he said, adding as existing scientific knowledge is not reaching the expected level.

"East and West Godavari district are producing around 8,000 graduates, including engineers and Information Technology. After seeing all these we have established Kakinada Technology park to use their skills," he said, while inaugurating Optical Network Laboratories in Kakinada.

This year Technology park has produced Rs 850 lakhs worth IT products, it will increase their target products to Rs 1500 lakhs by next year, he said. "Every year 60,000 persons are retiring from the Indian Arm services, and they are given training in different field," he said.

The Bharat Electronics Limited Bangalore, Opto-Electronic Laboratories, Honeywell Technology Solutions and Simcro Servo Global Solution Private Limited entered into a mutual understanding in the presence of Raju and JNTU Vice Chancellor A Appa Rao.
