New Delhi: The government on Friday categorically rejected the internal probe ordered by RTI activist-politician Arvind Kejriwal against three India Against Corruption (IAC) activists, terming the move as an attempt to fool countrymen.

“The IAC is trying to fool the people of this country. How can one order an internal probe against his own members. What are they trying to prove. All this shows the madness of these people,” Minister of State (MoS) for Parliamentary Affairs V Narayanasamy said while reacting to Kejriwal’s announcement.

Addressing a press conference later, Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari also slammed IAC activist Arvind Kejriwal for unilaterally announcing an internal probe against three IAC members- Mayank Gandhi, Anjali Damania and prashant Bhushan.

“We know this from the very beginning that IAC is the team B of the main opposition party BJP, “ Tiwari alleged.

The reaction from the centre and the Congress party came shortly after Kejriwal set up a three-member panel of retired judges to probe graft charges against three IAC members.

The three IAC members also welcomed the organisation's decision to set up a three-member panel of retired judges to probe the charges against them, and said they were ready to face any probe.

"We are ready to face any probe. If the probe finds us guilty, we will quit," Gandhi and Damania told reporters here.

"I am legally a farmer and have documents to prove it," Damania said. "I have not done any 'benami' transactions," she said, referring to questions about her land deals.

"We have nothing to hide. The probe will clear everything," said Gandhi, facing allegations of having links with builders.

Earlier in the day, Kejriwal said it has been alleged that Prashant Bhushan has done irregularities in buying land in Himachal Pradesh, Mayank Gandhi has links with builders, and questions have been raised against Anjali Damania's land deals in Maharashtra.

it is not new kejriwal has adopted the same path which others adopt to keep the people at bay. WHY congress is telling it a fooling of public, it is when done by any political party is ethic, if done by others is fooling tactic. LET public decide the issue.

- (IAC) leader Arvind Kejriwal said thaas t he hordered an inquiry against Prashant Bhushan , Mayank Gandhi & Anjali Damaniya for charges leveled against the three, its Ok but will he will tell, in what capacity he ordered .On which post he is and what is his right ..What is difference between the three and him ? Saying that Panel of judges will probe 3 IAC members is just cheating and deceiving as all the three judges are not in service and till Govt. has not notified those as a commission of inquiry act , no effect of the inquiry results . This is just a act of making fools to Indian public . Neither the three judges inquiry nor Kezriwal order has any effect . just game of wor ds

Mr. V. Narayansamy- It is ridiculous on your part to give such statements, If IAC is fooling people, why don’t you order an enquiry against Damania, You, being in power can set up an enquiry against Prashant Bhushan and Mayank Gandhi. But when you are reluctant to probe your own men allegedly involved in irregularities, how can you go for a probe against IAC men.Actually you and not IAC is fooling people. You do not have faith in retired Judges, You do not believe honest IAS, and CMOs but your own corrupt ministers who have been looting the country for so long. Your arrogance has ruined your party and you are not going to stand up for the next twenty years or even more. Do some thing positive, statements are not going to improve your image.

MOS`s comments are most illuminating......``How can one order an internal probe against his own members. What are they trying to prove. All this shows the madness of these people,” For a party seeped in cronyism it is natural to shield one`s members regardless of their guilt so Mr Kejriwal`s transparent and logical step reeks to them of madness. As for the party`s ``spokesman`` the less said about his rantings the better because they certainly reek of the madness to which the MS refers. Mr Kejriwal needs to be supported by all right thinking and well meaning citizens.
