IIM-A students will be able to 'Learn What is Not Taught'

Ahmedabad: Premier B-School Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad(IIM-A) will now be offering its students an unique elective course 'Learning What is Not Taught'(LWNT), which will bring corporate leaders to the institute's classrooms, an release said here on Tuesday.

The course being offered to a batch of 45-50 students PGPX (post-graduate programme for executives) and PGP (post-graduate programme) students during their final term, will have lead instructors such as executive director of Tata Sons R Gopalakrishnan, Chairman Rallis India, Vice Chairman of Tata Chemicals and others, it said.

The co-instructor for the course is Prof Atanu Ghosh, a visiting professor, business policy area of IIM-A.

"The objective of the course was framed with the realization by Gopalakrishnan that there are several aspects of real life that are seldom taught in the class rooms of management institutes," an IIM-A statement said.

Such perspective building through experience sharing and relevant and useful lessons from some of industry leaders, and senior professionals may facilitate the process of preparation to be an effective manager, it further added.

The learning from this course will be through interaction with an industry leader, during six live sessions on January 23 and 24th.
